John Hill – Chairman
John Hill has been a member of the Board of Directors since January 2015. Mr. Hill is a Partner & Research Analyst at Cambrian Capital, L.P., an energy and natural resource investment firm based in Boston and San Francisco. Prior to joining Cambrian, he served as Director, Metals & Mining for Citigroup Investment Research (1998-’08), where he was ranked by Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates. Prior positions include Director, Business Development for Echo Bay Mines (1994 -’98); Manager, INCO Ltd. exploration and technical services (1990-’94); and various industrial minerals operating roles. He has worked on mining projects in over 15 countries, and has testified to US Congress on mineral policy issues. He holds a B.A. in Geology from Middlebury College, an M.Sc. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Timothy J. Wood – Executive Director
Tim Wood has served as the Executive Director of The Denver Gold Group, Inc. since April 2011.
Prior to joining DGG, Tim managed retail and institutional investment conferences in the U.S. and South Africa, including Mining Indaba. Tim also has extensive experience in publishing and publishing technology having founded several publications, and as an editor for several media enterprises.
He earned a graduate degree in International Relations, and a Diploma in Business Administration, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He read for the degrees after completing compulsory military service as a combat artillery officer at the conclusion of the Angolan war.

Lisa Maestas – Director
Lisa Maestas has held the position of Director, Investor Relations with Alacer Gold since December 2010 and has been with the Corporation since February 2005. In addition to her Investor Relations role, Lisa also held the position of Corporate Secretary from 2008 through 2011. Prior to joining Alacer Gold, she held IR positions at Queenstake Resources, Golden Star Resources and Stillwater Mining. Ms. Maestas has over 25 years’ experience in the precious metals industry and is a member of both the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI).
Stephanie Parnell – Treasurer
Stephanie Parnell, CPA is a shareholder in Hanson & Co.'s accounting services practice. She has over a decade of experience advising growing small to mid-sized closely held businesses on accounting related issues. Stephanie helps clients optimize their accounting systems to ensure bottom value and insights can be produced through accurate financial reporting. Her primary focus is managing the outsourced accounting services offered by the firm to Denver area and Front Range businesses. Beyond this, she also provides prepared and compiled financial statements for small to mid-size closely held businesses.
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is active in the community involved with many local organizations including serving as the Treasurer for the Colorado Foundation of Public Health and the Environment. In addition, she is a Certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor and a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
Onno Rutten – Director
Onno Rutten, Vice President, Investment Management, is a Portfolio Manager on the Mackenzie Resource Team. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Denver Gold Group in January 2017.
Onno’s career in the investment industry began in 2003. He joined Mackenzie Investments in 2011. Prior to joining Mackenzie Investments, Onno was a precious and base metals Equity Research Analyst and Executive Director at a large global financial services firm in Toronto. During those years, Onno developed a reputation for his detailed modeling and market judgment in commodities and equities. From 1996 to 2001, he was a Senior Process Engineer in hydrometallurgy and minerals processing for a leading global engineering consulting firm, and designed and audited mines in Africa, Australia and Canada.
Onno holds an MSc (Mining and Petroleum Engineering) from Delft University (the Netherlands), as well as an MBA from INSEAD (France).
