Property Disclosures for Mining Registrants: An Overview of the SEC’s Proposed Rules and their Implications

sec-logoFor the first time in over 30 years, the SEC has proposed new rules for disclosure requirements for mining companies. The SEC has proposed new Resource and Reserve reporting requirements, with disclosures regarding the Qualified Person providing the resource and reserve estimates, and numerous other provisions in its 200+ page release and proposed rules.

 

It is critical for mining companies that are public or that may become public review the proposal and consider commenting on the rules before they become final. The presentation will review the proposed rules and point out the major changes and potential areas of concern for the industry.
