John Hill – Chairman

John Hill has been a member of the Board of Directors since January 2015. Mr. Hill is the Principal of Rexerro Capital, Ltd., a natural resource investment firm based San Francisco. Prior to establishing Rexerro, John was a Partner and Analyst at Cambrian Capital. Before to that he served as Director, Metals & Mining for Citigroup Investment Research (1998-’08), where he was ranked by Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates. Prior positions include Director, Business Development for Echo Bay Mines (1994 -’98); Manager, INCO Ltd. exploration and technical services (1990-’94); and various industrial minerals operating roles. He has worked on mining projects in over 15 countries, and has testified to US Congress on mineral policy issues. He holds a B.A. in Geology from Middlebury College, an M.Sc. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Timothy Wood – Executive Director

Tim Wood has served as the Executive Director of The Denver Gold Group, Inc. since April 2011.

Prior to joining DGG, Tim managed retail and institutional investment conferences in the U.S. and South Africa, including Mining Indaba. Tim also has extensive experience in publishing and publishing technology having founded several publications, and as an editor for several media enterprises.

He earned a graduate degree in International Relations, and a Diploma in Business Administration, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He read for the degrees after completing compulsory military service as a combat artillery officer at the conclusion of the Angolan war.

Brian Christie – Director

Brian Christie joined the Board of Directors in January 2016. Mr. Christie is Vice President, Investor Relations for Agnico Eagle Mines. Prior to that he worked in the investment industry for over 17 years, primarily as a precious and base metals mining analyst; his previous experience includes positions at Desjardins Securities, National Bank Financial, Canaccord Capital and HSBC Securities. Prior to working as an equity analyst, Mr. Christie spent 13 years in the mining industry as a geologist for a variety of mining companies, including Homestake, Billiton, Falconbridge Copper and Newmont Mining. Mr. Christie holds a BSc degree in Geology from the University of Toronto and an MSc degree in Geology from Queen’s University. He is a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada and the Society of Economic Geologists.

Sara Heston – Director

Sara commenced her term as a DGG Director in December 2017. She is Vice President of Investments at ASA Gold and Precious Metals Limited. Prior to joining ASA in January 2010, Ms. Heston was an analyst with White River Investments for three years. At White River she worked as a generalist with specific emphasis on the natural resources, education, financials and business services sectors. Previously, she spent three years as a technology analyst with Spinner Asset Management. Ms. Heston holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Haytham Hodaly – Director

Mr. Hodaly joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2019, bringing with him over 23 years of experience in the North American mining investment industry.  He is currently the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. and has held that position since 2012.  Prior to that, he worked as Director and Mining Analyst, Global Mining Research, at RBC Capital Markets and was responsible for providing, to a wide range of institutional clients around the globe, up-to-date and insightful research coverage of North American-listed precious metals companies. Prior to this, Mr. Hodaly held the position of Co-Director of Research and Senior Mining Analyst at Salman Partners Inc., in addition to holding the titles of Vice President and Director of the firm. During his tenure, he helped to establish Salman Partners Inc. as a leading independent, resource-focused and research-driven investment dealer. Mr. Hodaly is an engineer with a B.A.Sc. in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering and a Masters of Engineering, specializing in Mineral Economics. Mr. Hodaly has also been a director of Goldsource Mines Inc. since 2017.

Andrea Maxey – Director

Andrea Maxey is VP Corporate Affairs, Community and HR with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Ltd. She has been with AngloGold since 2000, initially working in investor relations in Australia and then the United States, before returning to Australia in 2007 to become part of the company’s regional management team. Andrea is a director of the Gold Industry Group in Australia and prior to joining AngloGold Ashanti, was editor of Gold Gazette. She has a BA in Psychology, post-graduate diplomas in journalism and finance and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Onno Rutten – Director

Onno Rutten, Vice President, Investment Management, is a Portfolio Manager on the Mackenzie Resource Team. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Denver Gold Group in January 2017.

Onno’s career in the investment industry began in 2003. He joined Mackenzie Investments in 2011. Prior to joining Mackenzie Investments, Onno was a precious and base metals Equity Research Analyst and Executive Director at a large global financial services firm in Toronto. During those years, Onno developed a reputation for his detailed modeling and market judgment in commodities and equities. From 1996 to 2001, he was a Senior Process Engineer in hydrometallurgy and minerals processing for a leading global engineering consulting firm, and designed and audited mines in Africa, Australia and Canada.

Onno holds an MSc (Mining and Petroleum Engineering) from Delft University (the Netherlands), as well as an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Pamela Solly – Director

Pamela Solly joined the Board of Directors in January 2019. Ms. Solly is the Vice President of Investor Relations for Vista Gold Corp. Prior to joining Vista Gold, she was Vice President of Investor Relations for Lydian International from December 2016 through March 2019 and served as Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Responsibility for Thompson Creek Metals Company from May 2008 through November 2016. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Investor Relations for Keating Investments, following her 15-year tenure with Cyprus Amax Minerals Company. Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Regis University and a Master of International Management degree from the University of Denver. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and Women in Mining.
