Ms. Sara Heston joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in December 2017. She is currently an Associate Director in the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. From 2010 to 2019, Ms. Heston was an Analyst and Vice President of Investments at ASA Gold and Precious Metals Limited where she actively managed investments in the precious metals and mining sector. Prior to joining ASA, Ms. Heston was an Analyst with White River Investments for three years. At White River she worked as a generalist with specific emphasis on the natural resources, education, financials and business services sectors. Previously, she spent three years as a technology analyst with Spinner Asset Management.
Ms. Heston holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Tim Wood has served as the Executive Director of The Denver Gold Group, Inc. since April 2011.
Prior to joining DGG, Tim managed retail and institutional investment conferences in the U.S. and South Africa, including Mining Indaba. Tim also has extensive experience in publishing and publishing technology having founded several publications, and as an editor for several media enterprises.
He earned a graduate degree in International Relations, and a Diploma in Business Administration, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He read for the degrees after completing compulsory military service as a combat artillery officer at the conclusion of the Angolan war.
Mr. J. Dan Denbow joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2022. Mr. J. Dan Denbow, CFA, is a private investor, independent director and advisor with 29 years of capital markets experience with the most recent 22 years spent at USAA Investment Management Company. With USAA Mr. Denbow was an analyst and portfolio manager. As a portfolio manager Dan was responsible for managing the Precious Metals and Minerals fund and the domestic and global dividend strategies with over $4 billion in assets under management. Mr. Denbow is an independent director for Signature Resources and an advisor to Gemdale Gold, both are junior exploration companies with assets in Canada and Finland, respectively. Dan is also owner and president of Denbow Oil & Gas, Inc with royalty and working interest in oil and gas production in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Louisiana.
Mr. Luke Gleeson joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2023. Mr. Gleeson is Chief Sustainability Officer & Head of Corporate Development at Bellevue Gold. Mr. Gleeson has 20 years of experience in the industry. At Bellevue Gold his role initially incorporated forming the Company’s strategy on its pathway to production, engaging with the investment community and driving the strategy for the company’s aspirational goal of being a net zero emissions producer by 2026.
Previously he worked as Head of Investor Relations and a Business Development Officer with ASX listed gold producer Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST). At Northern Star, he was involved with their asset acquisitions and played key roles in securing equity funding and communicating with the global analyst and investment community. In 5yrs he raised collectively over $1.5B in equity and debt at BGL and NST. Pre his time at NST he worked as a sell side analyst with Macquarie Bank covering the precious metals sector.
Mr. Gleeson has a Bachelor of International Finance from Griffith University QLD & post- graduate qualifications in Mineral Exploration Geoscience (WASM) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Mineral Economics, Western Australian School of Mines and is also a Member of AusIMM.
Mr. Gleeson is also a member of the Australian Defence Force where he is an active member of the Australian Army Reserve with the Regional Force Surveillance Group (RFSG) 3 Squadron Pilbara Regiment.
Ms. Rachel Goldman is Chief Executive Officer and Director at Paramount Gold Nevada. Ms. Goldman joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2023.
Prior to joining Paramount in February 2020, Ms. Goldman spent 20 years in capital markets with Canadian based boutique and bank owned firms, and most recently as Managing Director Institutional Equity Sales for Desjardins Securities. Over those years she developed strong working relationships with institutional investors throughout Canada, the US and the UK, and helped to connect numerous public companies to key investment decision makers and improve their market profile.
Ms. Goldman holds Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance from Concordia University.
Mr. Hodaly joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2019, bringing with him over 23 years of experience in the North American mining investment industry. He is currently the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. and has held that position since 2012. Prior to that, he worked as Director and Mining Analyst, Global Mining Research, at RBC Capital Markets and was responsible for providing, to a wide range of institutional clients around the globe, up-to-date and insightful research coverage of North American-listed precious metals companies. Prior to this, Mr. Hodaly held the position of Co-Director of Research and Senior Mining Analyst at Salman Partners Inc., in addition to holding the titles of Vice President and Director of the firm. During his tenure, he helped to establish Salman Partners Inc. as a leading independent, resource-focused and research-driven investment dealer.
Mr. Hodaly is an engineer with a B.A.Sc. in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering and a Masters of Engineering, specializing in Mineral Economics. Mr. Hodaly has also been a director of Goldsource Mines Inc. since 2017.
Mr. John Pearson joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2020. Mr. Pearson is an investor relations executive with more 40 years of natural resources industry experience including 34 years in Investor Relations. Most recently Mr. Pearson served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Centerra Gold Inc. for 15 years until his retirement in 2021. Prior to joining Centerra Gold, he held senior investor relations and corporate communications positions with Stillwater Mining, SouthernEra Resources, Pegasus Gold Inc., LAC Minerals Ltd. and Canamax Resources Ltd from 1987 to 2006.
Prior to working in investor relations and corporate communications, Mr. Pearson spent six years in the mining industry as an exploration geologist for a variety of mining companies including Kerr Addison Mines, BP Resources Canada, Selco Division, and Abermin Resources. Mr. Pearson holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Lakehead University.
Mr. Pearson has been involved with the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) since its formation and the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) since 1987.
Ms. Pamela Solly joined the Board of Directors in January 2019. Ms. Solly is the Vice President of Investor Relations for Vista Gold Corp. Prior to joining Vista Gold, she was Vice President of Investor Relations for Lydian International from December 2016 through March 2019 and served as Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Responsibility for Thompson Creek Metals Company from May 2008 through November 2016. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Investor Relations for Keating Investments, following her 15-year tenure with Cyprus Amax Minerals Company.
Ms. Solly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Regis University and a Master of International Management degree from the University of Denver. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and Women in Mining.
Clifford Walter, CPA, CGMA joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2019. Mr. Walter is owner of Caring Accounting Services, LLC which focuses on providing full service accounting for small to mid-sized closely held businesses and individuals in the greater Denver area. His passion is advising businesses on accounting related issues and helping clients understand and interpret their financial transactions and to provide information that helps them make informed business decisions. Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Walter was the director of accounting services for a mid-sized Denver CPA firm. His prior experience includes performing financial statement audits for over 20 years for several CPA firms.
Mr. Walter received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Emphasis in Accounting from La Sierra University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Global Management Accountants and currently holds CPA licenses to practice in Colorado and California.
