Timothy Wood – Executive Director
Tim Wood has served as the Executive Director of The Denver Gold Group, Inc. since April 2011.
Prior to joining DGG, Tim managed retail and institutional investment conferences in the U.S. and South Africa, including Mining Indaba. Tim also has extensive experience in publishing and publishing technology having founded several publications, and as an editor for several media enterprises.
He earned a graduate degree in International Relations, and a Diploma in Business Administration, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He read for the degrees after completing compulsory military service as a combat artillery officer at the conclusion of the Angolan war.

Andrea Maxey – Director
Andrea Maxey is VP Corporate Affairs, Community and HR with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Ltd. She has been with AngloGold since 2000, initially working in investor relations in Australia and then the United States, before returning to Australia in 2007 to become part of the company’s regional management team. Andrea is a director of the Gold Industry Group in Australia and prior to joining AngloGold Ashanti, was editor of Gold Gazette. She has a BA in Psychology, post-graduate diplomas in journalism and finance and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
John Pearson – Director
John Pearson joined the Denver Gold Group Board of Directors in January 2020 and has held various senior Investor Relations and Corporate Communications roles, as well as, technical exploration roles for more than 38 years within the natural resources industry. Mr. Pearson currently serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at Centerra Gold Inc., a positon he has held since 2006. Prior to joining Centerra Gold he held senior investor relations and corporate communications positions with Stillwater Mining, SouthernEra Resources, Roth Investor Relations, Pegasus Gold Inc., LAC Minerals Ltd. and Canamax Resources Ltd from 1987 to 2006.
Prior to working in investor relations and corporate communications, Mr. Pearson spent six years in the mining industry as an exploration geologist for a variety of mining companies including Kerr Addison Mines, BP Resources Canada, Selco Division, and Abermin Resources. Mr. Pearson holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Lakehead University.
Mr. Pearson serves as an independent director for Marifil Mines Ltd., a junior Argentinean-based exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Stock Exchange, and has been involved with the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) since its formation and the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) since 1987.
Onno Rutten – Director
Onno Rutten, Vice President, Investment Management, is a Portfolio Manager on the Mackenzie Resource Team. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Denver Gold Group in January 2017.
Onno’s career in the investment industry began in 2003. He joined Mackenzie Investments in 2011. Prior to joining Mackenzie Investments, Onno was a precious and base metals Equity Research Analyst and Executive Director at a large global financial services firm in Toronto. During those years, Onno developed a reputation for his detailed modeling and market judgment in commodities and equities. From 1996 to 2001, he was a Senior Process Engineer in hydrometallurgy and minerals processing for a leading global engineering consulting firm, and designed and audited mines in Africa, Australia and Canada.
Onno holds an MSc (Mining and Petroleum Engineering) from Delft University (the Netherlands), as well as an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Clifford Walter – Director
Clifford received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Emphasis in Accounting from La Sierra University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Global Management Accountants.
