Perseus Mining Limited is an Australian domiciled, diversified West African-focused gold production, development and exploration company.
Perseus’s first mine, the Edikan Gold Mine located in Ghana, has been a producing gold commercially since January 2012, at a rate of approximately 200,000 ounces of gold per year. Perseus became a multi-mine, multi-jurisdiction gold producer in January 2018 when it poured first gold at its second gold mine, the low cost Sissingué Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire.
Perseus’s third gold mine, and its second mine in Côte d’Ivoire, will be the Yaouré Gold Mine. Construction of this mine will commence in the June 2019 quarter and when it becomes operational in December 2020, Yaouré has the potential to be a large-scale, low-cost gold mining operation capable of generating strong positive cashflows for many years to come.
Perseus also has a portfolio of exploration properties located in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana and maintains an active programme of exploration in both countries aiming at generating the next project to be developed by the company.
With a robust balance sheet and strong projected cash flows coming from its existing and future operations, Perseus has the financial capacity and team to successfully implement it strategy of producing more than 500,000 ounces of gold per year from multiple gold mines located in multiple jurisdictions and generating a cash margin of at least US$400 per ounce.
