St Barbara Limited (ASX: SBM) is an ASX 200 Asia-Pacific gold producer and explorer with a production profile in excess of 350,000 ounces of gold per annum.
St Barbara's key assets include the high grade Gwalia underground mine at Leonora in Western Australia and the Simberi open pit mine on Simberi Island in Papua New Guinea. For the year ended June 2018, total production was a record 403,089 ounces of gold at an All-In Sustaining Cost of A$891/oz (US$691/oz). St Barbara has Ore Reserves of 3.9 million ounces of contained gold and over 2,000 km2 of granted exploration tenements in Australia and Papua New Guinea. The Company is focused on near-term growth options at both mines and also evaluating inorganic growth opportunities in Australia and overseas.
In FY18 St Barbara achieved record production of 403,089 ounces at an All-In Sustaining Cost of A$891/oz (US$691/oz), outperforming guidance in both areas.
Gwalia mine achieved an All-In Sustaining Cost of A$802/oz (US$622/oz) in FY18. FY19 forecast gold production for the Gwalia mine is 245 to 260 koz at an AISC of A$920-980/oz (US$690-735/oz).
St Barbara had Ore Reserves of 3.9 million ounces of contained gold at 30 June 2018, with both mines open at depth.
