Ross has extensive experience in precious metals, working both for leading industry players and also as an entrepreneur within the sector.
Joining Johnson Matthey, Royston in 1987 as Gold Refining Manager (then the world's largest gold refiners), later as a physical gold trader at NM Rothschild & Sons (the Chairman of the London Gold Fixing) and then Credit Suisse, London where he was a Senior Bullion Dealer.
In 1999 Ross founded FastMarkets which successfully provided innovative real time market news, data and research via a subscription service to the professional metals community. The business was acquired by Metal Bulletin.
In 2011 he revived the Sharps Pixley name with a history back to 1778, who sell physical gold to investors from its quality St James's, London showroom. The business was acquired by a German Family Office in 2013, with Ross running the business for them as its CEO until 2019.
Ross has a strong record within the London Bullion Market as a leading gold price forecaster over the last 22 years and is frequently sought by the media for commentary on the bullion markets.
