The American mining industry faces many challenges in both domestic and international arenas.  Burdensome regulations hinder growth of the vibrant national and global mining industry value chain, a good deal of which is located in Denver.  Overcoming key obstacles, harmonizing U.S. reporting requirements with international reporting standards, reducing permitting delays and raising public awareness of our nation’s critical need for minerals are all under active discussion.

To explore these and other problems impacting U.S. mining companies, the Denver Gold Group, Colorado Mining Association, Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, and Society of Economic Geologists will jointly present a seminar on December 8, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt in Denver, Colorado.
